St. Mary's Cathedral

This beautiful cathedral sits high atop a cliff in San Diablo. It is being renovated, however, and is only available for mass on High Holy Days. St. Mary's is famous for his relics, and the pious frequently visit.

While many churches are built on holy ground, the altar, sanctuary--everything past the communion rail--is all constructed with mortar infused with the bones of the saints.
