Cardinal Fire is what Eric Crowe had used to destroy a demon that he had been hunting with Kate Connor in the catacombs under Rome. This fire was given to him by Wilson Endicott this weapon to use as a last resort and in the process broke a lot of Forza's rules. When Eric Crowe was little, Forza locked a demon up inside of him that had remained dormant until he used the Cardinal Fire, which awakened it.
